. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring that everything we fabricate -- from steel structures to custom components -- meets the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with our production team to inspect, test, and improve our processes, helping us deliver reliable and safe products to our clients.
What You'll Be Doing:
Inspect fabricated steel components during and after production to ensure they meet specifications and drawings.
Check raw materials and incoming parts to make sure they're up to standard.
Use measuring tools like vernier calipers, welding gauges, and micrometers to check accuracy.
Keep quality-related documents organized, including inspection reports and material certificates.
Work with external inspectors or customers during third-party inspections.
Identify any issues in the process, and work with the team to fix them.
Support regular audits and help improve internal systems and procedures.
Train and guide shop floor teams on quality practices and standards.
Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
What We're Looking For:
A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3-5 years of hands-on experience in quality control, ideally in steel fabrication or heavy engineering.
Good understanding of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Arc) and fabrication drawings.
Comfortable using measuring instruments and following technical standards (IS, AWS, etc.).
Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality tools like 5 Whys or root cause analysis.
Someone who's proactive, responsible, and pays attention to details.
Nice to Have:
Experience working with third-party inspection agencies.
Familiarity with ERP or basic quality software.
Exposure to structural steel or infrastructure projects.
