Position Summary: Bechtel is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for the Manufacturing and Technology team, based in New Delhi, India. The Quality Engineer reports to the Project Quality Lead and supports the effective implementation of the project Quality Management System (QMS) through identifying quality risks and performing audits and surveillances to the work being performed.This position's primary role is supporting the implementation of the project QMS, including independently supporting quality program implementation, collecting and analyzing metrics data, technical data analysis, root causal analysis, performing audits and surveillances to identify and mitigate quality risks. Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to: .Identify potential performance risks associated with quality during project planning including development and implementation of mitigation plans. .Work collaboratively with Engineering and Supplier Quality team on the Project to validate material and equipment meets design requirements and project critical safety and performance parameters are compliant to requirements. .Energize the Quality Culture within the project.Lead the project in establishing and continually improving our quality culture. .Responsible for developing Audit plan and conducting quality audits and surveillances. .Participates with other Quality Engineers in specific quality-related assignments. .Identifies potential failure points and error precursors in requirements, work processes and process input/outputs. .Aggregates information and data on design and work-process interfaces to assess process performance. .Assists in developing and implementing quality system tools and procedures to support work processes. .Reviews/approves Material/Service requisitions and verify all the requirements are captured appropriately. .Perform supplier pre-qualification, review quality submittals and coordinate with Engineering/ procurement team. .Assist in preparation and development of reports on the effectiveness of the quality program/plan implementation. .Collect data for Quality metrics established on the project and support in developing Quality dashboard. .Develops and assists in implementing sampling and test/inspection plans. .Assists in tracking the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvement activities. .Maintains quality management system elements and tools. .Learns to use basic to intermediate causal analysis tools and leads apparent cause evaluations to assist in the resolution issues. .Participates on the implementation of the project quality program/plan such as Close Loop Corrective Actions and Continuous Improvement. Qualifications and Skills Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering, Science or Technical discipline from an accredited university or college with 10+ years of Industry Experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Manufacturing, overseeing the design, development, and implementation with leadership experience in an EPC or closely related Industry. In lieu of degree, a minimum of 16+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Manufacturing, Engineering Procurement, Construction (EPC) or closely related Industry. Minimum Qualifications: .Basic technical knowledge in the application of engineering, procurement, construction sufficient to comprehend requirements. .Demonstrated proficiency in implementation and management of quality assurance programs. .Database and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) proficiency. .Understanding of the quality rigor required for projects and familiarity with project procedures. .Demonstrated technical editing ability. .Excellent written and verbal communications skills. .Ability to effectively partner with functional organizations. .Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. .Ability to manage a fast pace of work, prioritize tasks, adapt to changing situations, and meet short deadlines. .Third party Auditor Certification. Preferred Qualifications: .Demonstrated skills in planning, organization and schedule compliance. .A high level of personal motivation, high standards, and the ability to work within changing situations to meet short deadlines. .Knowledge of regulatory requirements and functions that impact the QA program.
