Quality Engineer

With comprehensive capabilities spanning casting, forging, machining, heat treatment, and plating, we serve the global oil and gas industry with high-quality precision components.

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to manage quality control, documentation, and audit compliance. Based on competency, this position may evolve into a Quality Compliance Engineer role. API 6A training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials and verify material certifications Perform in-process inspection during casting, forging, machining, and heat treatment operations Execute final inspection of finished products to ensure compliance with specifications Prepare Mill Test Reports (MTRs) and Certificate of Compliance (CoC) documentation Maintain quality records and documentation for internal and external audits Prepare for and support quality audits (ISO, API 6A, customer audits) Develop and maintain quality control procedures and work instructions Coordinate with production team to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions Track and analyze quality metrics and prepare quality reports Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality Calibrate and maintain quality inspection equipment Interface with customers for quality-related inquiries and documentation
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering 1-2 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in manufacturing Strong understanding of quality inspection processes and documentation Experience with quality audit preparation and compliance Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specifications Knowledge of quality tools and measurement instruments Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Good communication skills for coordinating with production and customers
Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems Familiarity with API 6A or API Q1 standards Experience with quality management software or ERP systems Understanding of metallurgical testing and material properties Six Sigma or other quality certification
