: Quality Engineer



We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable

Quality Engineer

with strong expertise in raw material inspection, ISO 9001 documentation, and international standards (DIN, ISO, EN, etc.). The role involves end-to-end responsibility for inward inspection of raw materials, first article inspection, in-process verification, and pre-dispatch inspections, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and documentation procedures.

Key ResponsibilitiesRaw Material Inspection & Verification



Conduct inward inspection of raw materials (plates, tubes, rounds, flats, etc.). Verify Material Test Certificates (MTC) as per specifications; report missing information/documents to Purchase/Supplier. Maintain raw material registration sheet and assign registration numbers. Mark and color-code raw materials with registration numbers before storage.

Inspection & Quality Checks



Perform

First Article Inspection (FAI)

at raw material cutting processes (grade, size, dimension as per drawing/cutting plan). Conduct

Set-up approval

prior to mass production. Execute

Random Inspection

as per inspection plan. Carry out

Pre-dispatch inspection (PDI)

of cut parts and prepare reports. Review Non-Conformance (NC) for acceptability or deviation approval.

Documentation & Quality Planning



Prepare Quality Plans for: Inward raw material inspection Pre-dispatch inspection In-process inspection Maintain inspection records including: Quality Plans PDI reports Raw material test reports (Mill TC & Third-party reports) Maintain inspection report files/folders systematically. Circulate inspection reports (PDI, dimensional inspection, MTC) to production units via hard copy & email.

Third-Party Testing



Coordinate sending, tracking, reviewing & approving third-party inspection of raw material samples for: Chemical composition Mechanical properties Hardness Microstructure Other special tests

Inspection Tools & Standards



Ensure availability and calibration of measuring instruments as per part requirements. Ensure master templates and special gauges availability & maintenance (re-conditioning/repair as needed). Ensure availability of updated drawings and reference standards at work centers. Verify/audit production process check sheets for compliance.

Control & Compliance



Maintain instrument issue registers for respective areas. Follow and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 documentation procedures. Support audits and provide inspection documentation as required.

Requirements



Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Strong knowledge of

ISO 9001 documentation

and international standards (DIN, ISO, EN). Hands-on experience in raw material inspection, PDI, FAI, and in-process inspections. Good understanding of MTC verification and supplier quality documentation. Proficiency in MS Office and computer-based documentation. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and reporting skills. Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and third-party inspection agencies.

Preferred Skills



Experience in manufacturing/automotive/engineering industry. Knowledge of calibration, gauges, and measuring instruments. Strong problem-solving skills with exposure to root cause analysis & corrective actions.
