Position Summary

The Quality Assurance & Quality Controller will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities in the factory project comply with approved quality standards, codes, specifications, and client requirements. The role involves implementing QA/QC procedures, conducting inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and coordinating with project teams to ensure delivery of high-quality construction work.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (QA):

Develop, implement, and monitor the project's Quality Assurance Plan in alignment with ISO standards and client requirements. Prepare and review method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality checklists. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. Conduct internal audits and coordinate external quality audits. Provide training and awareness sessions for site staff on QA procedures.

Quality Control (QC):

Carry out daily inspections of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works as per approved drawings and specifications. Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship meet required quality standards. Conduct tests and inspections for concrete, steel, welding, painting, and finishing works. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives for inspection approvals. Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, test certificates, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented for quality issues.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering discipline. Minimum 5-10 years of QA/QC experience in industrial or factory construction, or international factory projects. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, QA/QC procedures, and construction codes/standards. Experience in handling quality documentation, ITPs, and method statements. Proficient in MS Office and QA/QC software tools. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
