Oversee the quality of food products during production and packaging. Ensure that the production process aligns with established standards and food safety regulations.
o Quality Control Checks:
Conduct regular inspections and audits at various stages of production, including raw material, in-process, and finished product stages.
Compliance
: Ensure all products meet the required food safety standards, including local, national, and international regulations.
Documentation
: Maintain accurate records of quality control checks, audits, and inspections. Ensure documentation complies with both internal and regulatory requirements.
Training & Support:
Train production staff on quality standards, food safety procedures, and best practices. Provide continuous guidance to ensure adherence to quality processes.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve quality issues promptly by investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Supplier Quality Management
: Collaborate with the procurement team to assess and ensure that raw materials from suppliers meet required quality standards.
o Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and manufacturing processes.
o Customer Complaints Handling:
Investigate and resolve quality-related complaints from customers, ensuring quick resolution and corrective actions.
Reporting
: Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management. Provide analysis on trends, quality metrics, and potential improvements.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
o Education
: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
Experience
: Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in the food manufacturing industry.
Frozen Food Handling Experience is mandatory.
Knowledge
:
o Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FSSAI, FDA, etc.).
o Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality certifications.
o Understanding of testing methods for food products (sensory analysis, microbiological tests, etc.).
Skills
:
o Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
o Proficient in MS Office and quality management software.
Additional courses as advantage:
Certification in food safety management systems (e.g., ISO 22000, HACCP, etc.).
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position based at the manufacturing facility.
Occasional travel to supplier locations or industry conferences as required for Quality monitoring & verification purpose.
