Job Description

Job Summary:

The Quality Controller will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality standards across all production processes within the steel plant. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, quality testing methods, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and inspect raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards. Conduct quality checks, testing, and analysis as per established parameters. Maintain and update all quality records, test reports, and documentation. Identify quality issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate with production, maintenance, and dispatch teams to ensure product consistency and quality compliance. Ensure adherence to ISO, BIS, and other quality certification standards. Develop and implement quality improvement programs and staff training. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management review. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in all quality operations.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Strong understanding of quality management systems in steel or heavy manufacturing. Knowledge of metallurgical testing, inspection tools, and laboratory equipment. Familiarity with industry standards (ISO 9001, BIS, etc.). Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant QC software/tools.

Additional Information:

Candidates with experience in integrated steel plants will be preferred. Must be able to handle quality operations independently. Immediate joiners will be given preference.
