Key Responsibilities:
Shop Floor Supervision :
Oversee day-to-day fabrication activities (cutting, fitting, welding, grinding, assembly).
Ensure all fabrication is done as per approved drawings and tolerances.
Guide welders, fitters, and helpers to perform tasks accurately and safely.
Quality Standards Compliance
Ensure fabrication follows applicable standards (
ISO, IS, AWS for welding, etc
.).
Quality Monitoring :
Check welding quality, joint penetration, alignment, and finishing visually and dimensionally.
Identify defects early (distortion, misalignment, undercutting, etc.) and correct immediately.
Ensuring that all work adheres strictly to the approved project drawings, specifications, and client standards.
Managing the teams (both in-house and sub-contractors) performing the work to ensure efficiency and quality.
Material Control :
Monitor proper utilization of raw materials and prevent wastage.
Ensure leftover and scrap materials are returned properly.
Training & Guidance :
Train and guide workers for quality workmanship and process discipline.
Promote teamwork and responsibility among shop floor staff.
