Job Purpose:



To ensure consistent product quality through systematic testing, process monitoring, and documentation, while supporting formulation development and product improvement activities for specialty lubricants.

1. Quality Testing & Inspection



Conduct routine testing of base oils, additives, grease, and finished lubricants as per ASTM/IS standards. Perform quality checks on packaging materials (cans, bottles, drums) before use. Verify blending batches for compliance before release. Ensure calibration, maintenance, and proper functioning of laboratory instruments.

2. Documentation & Compliance



Maintain accurate test records, COA (Certificate of Analysis), and QC reports. Ensure compliance with ISO, BIS, and other regulatory standards. Support internal and external audits by preparing test data, calibration certificates, and necessary documentation. Implement and maintain quality control procedures as per company standards and regulatory norms.

3. Customer Support & Complaint Handling



Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and prepare root cause analysis (RCA) reports. Coordinate with production and technical teams to provide corrective and preventive actions.

4. Research & Development



Assist in formulation development and optimization of water-based lubricants, die-casting lubricants, and specialty products. Conduct laboratory trials, product performance analysis, and assist in scaling formulations for production. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to improve product performance as per client requirements. Maintain detailed documentation of all trials, results, and formulation versions. Stay updated with new raw materials, technologies, and trends in specialty lubricants and chemicals.

5. Safety & Housekeeping



Ensure safe handling of chemicals, additives, and laboratory equipment. Maintain housekeeping and adhere to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards in QC laboratories. Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in QC & R&D areas.

6. Key Requirements for the Role:

e) Minimum 2-3 years of experience in QC and/or R&D, preferably in lubricants, grease, forging, or die-casting chemical manufacturing
f) Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint

7. Knowledge & Qualifications:



B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.E. / Diploma in Chemical Engineering
