( Quality control Manager )(Transformer company)

Job location - Partapur- Meerut

Salary - up to 40k

Experience required - 3 year +

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance & Control:

Develop and implement quality policies, inspection standards, and testing procedures as per

IS/IEC standards

. Supervise quality control activities in core cutting, coil winding, assembly, tanking, oil filtration, and final testing. Ensure all transformers meet customer specifications before dispatch.

2. Testing & Inspection:

Oversee routine, type, and special tests of transformers. Analyze test results and approve/reject units as per standards. Ensure calibration of all testing instruments.

3. Compliance & Documentation:

Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 quality management systems. Prepare and review quality documentation (QAP, inspection reports, test certificates). Liaise with third-party inspectors and certification bodies.

4. Supplier Quality Management:

Inspect incoming raw materials (CRGO, copper, transformer oil, bushings, OLTC, etc.). Approve and evaluate vendor quality standards. Work with procurement to ensure only qualified suppliers are used.

5. Continuous Improvement:

Implement

Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma

methodologies for process improvements. Identify root causes of defects and initiate corrective & preventive actions (CAPA). Reduce customer complaints and field failures.

6. Team Management:

Lead the QA/QC team of engineers, inspectors, and technicians. Provide training on quality standards, safety, and customer requirements. Build a culture of quality and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's/Diploma in

Electrical Engineering

(preferred). 3-10 years of experience in transformer manufacturing QA/QC. Strong knowledge of

transformer standards (IS, IEC, ANSI, BIS)

. Hands-on experience in transformer testing (routine, type, and special tests). Knowledge of ISO standards and documentation. Leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. ERP/QMS software knowledge is an advantage.
