Role Summary
The QC Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control processes across all interior design, production, fabrication, and site execution activities. The role ensures that materials, finishes, workmanship, and installation meet company standards, client specifications, and industry norms.
Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control & Inspection
Develop and implement quality control procedures for production and site activities.
Conduct regular inspections of materials, joinery, furniture, and on-site installations.
Ensure all work aligns with GFC drawings, BOQ, samples, and approved specifications.
Identify defects, workmanship issues, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
2. Process Management
Create and maintain quality checklists for factory, vendor, and site QC.
Monitor end-to-end production quality -- cutting, assembly, finishing, painting, polishing, packaging, and dispatch.
Ensure vendors follow required QC standards and perform random checks.
3. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QC reports.
Maintain material test reports, inspection records, NCR (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action logs.
Verify compliance with safety and quality standards.
4. Coordination
Coordinate closely with the design team, production team, project managers, and site supervisors.
Ensure clarity on drawing changes, samples, and specifications.
Work with procurement for material quality approval.
5. Client Handling
Participate in client inspections and audits.
Address quality-related client complaints and resolve them efficiently.
Ensure snag lists are completed and closed within timelines.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of interior materials, hardware, joinery, finishes, and fabrication processes.
Ability to understand detailed drawings, GFC, and technical specifications.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Knowledge of quality standards (ISO preferred).
Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Interior Design / Production Engineering.
8-12 years of QC experience in interior fit-out / modular furniture / retail store projects.

Reduction in snag/defect counts.
On-time QC clearance for production and site.
Client satisfaction on quality.
Vendor quality compliance.
Zero major quality complaints.
