Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Control - Junior Executive located in Kheda, Gujarat. (Approximately 40 kms from Ahmedabad). We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Senior Quality Control Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our products through rigorous testing, analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The Senior Executive-Quality Control will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Basic duties
- Conduct routine and ad-hoc quality inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to verify compliance with company standards and specifications.
- Managing and training QC manpower under you for smooth functioning of the quality control department at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and quality assurance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols.
- Coordinating with suppliers of quality control equipment, materials and consumables for stock, repair, maintenance, calibration etc.
- Maintaining best practices in housekeeping, maintenance, and organization.
- Evaluate test results and identify deviations from quality standards.
- Coordination with other departments to ensure smooth and quick turnover of materials.
- 8. Monitor, maintain and calibrate all equipment under you to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Creating formats, files, and documentation to maintain, manage and enhance strict adherence to the quality management system.
- Intra & Inter-departmental communication: pro-active, prompt, and responsive.
- Conduct physical, chemical and mechanical testing of samples using a variety of analytical techniques and equipment to support R&D.
- Liaising and coordinating with third party laboratories to conduct a variety of tests right from internal sample validation to publishing & filing of reports.
- Using statistics and analyses to record and analyze all QC data.
- Identifying problems or potential problems, and initiating investigation and implementation of corrective actions as necessary to address non-conformance.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations to identify the underlying causes of quality issues and implement preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and procurement teams to review product specifications, troubleshoot quality-related issues, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, standards, and training programs to promote continuous improvement and adherence to quality management systems.
- Support customer inquiries, complaints, and quality audits by providing timely and accurate information, documentation, and resolutions.
- Creating and maintaining an international test standard library. Gain knowledge, decipher, understand relevant international test standards and conduct tests in adherence with them.
- Managing and implementing testing campaigns for accelerated product development.
- Managing product stability campaigns at R&D, Pilot and Commercial production stage.
- Conduct customer or supplier visits, if needed, to address product non- conformance, based on the instructions of the Operations Manager.
- Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the adhesive, coatings, or resin manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of International Test Standards such as ASTM and ISO.
- Proficiency in using laboratory instrumentation and analytical techniques such as rheology, mechanical tests
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, auditors etc.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, organization & planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- English speaking skills - Proficiency in written and spoken language
- Computer skills \xe2\x80\x93 Proficiency in MS Office
