Basic Function

:

The

Quality Control In-charge

will oversee the quality control processes within the manufacturing facility in Raipur. This role ensures that products meet customer specifications, regulatory standards, and internal quality benchmarks at every stage of production. You will be responsible for monitoring raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, and will collaborate with the Quality Manager, Production Supervisors, and other departments to ensure consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities

:

Quality Control Activities

: Supervise and manage quality control activities from raw materials to finished goods. Ensure that all products meet customer specifications, regulatory standards, and internal quality guidelines. Monitor the effectiveness of quality control procedures.

Testing & Equipment Management

:

Operate and maintain quality testing equipment for material properties such as hardness, alloy composition, dimensions, and surface finish. Conduct laboratory testing for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Keep detailed records of all testing activities and results.

Material Sampling and Labeling

:

Oversee proper sampling of raw materials and finished products for quality testing. Supervise labeling of materials and products to ensure traceability and proper inventory management. Ensure the accurate verification of product quantities before dispatch to clients or warehouses.

Identification of Non-Conformities

:

Identify and address any defects or quality issues during production. Conduct regular inspections and sampling to ensure quality standards are met at every stage of production.

Corrective Actions & Preventive Measures

:

Analyze the root causes of any non-conformities and implement corrective actions. Work with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to prevent recurring quality issues.

Documentation & Reporting

:

Maintain accurate records of quality control activities and test results. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality control reports for the Quality Manager and relevant departments. Ensure proper documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.

Calibration and Instrument Monitoring

:

Ensure that all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained. Troubleshoot any calibration issues and ensure that all instruments meet industry standards.

Collaboration with Production & Engineering Teams

:

Work closely with production teams to ensure consistent product quality. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues and improve production processes. Participate in product development and design reviews to ensure quality standards are met.

Continuous Improvement

:

Contribute to quality improvement programs aimed at reducing waste, improving production efficiency, and enhancing product quality. Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies.

Training and Mentorship

:

Train and mentor junior quality control staff to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. Conduct training sessions for production teams to raise awareness of quality standards.

Required Qualifications

:

Education

: A

diploma

or

degree

in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, or a related field.

Experience

: Minimum of 3-5

years

in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment.

Skills

:

Proficiency in using quality testing machinery and laboratory instruments. Strong understanding of material properties, dimensional measurement, and surface finish testing. Ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively. Excellent documentation and reporting skills. Knowledge of industry standards and quality management systems (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma). Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

:

Experience with specific manufacturing processes (e.g., Aluminum Extrusion, CNC machining, injection molding).

Certifications

in Quality Control or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) would be an added advantage.
