- Quality Control Head (Hair Oil Manufacturing)

Experience Required:

8-12 years (preferably in hair oil, cosmetics, or FMCG manufacturing)

Job Purpose:

To ensure consistent product quality by managing and supervising all Quality Control activities across raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products. The QC Head will lead a small team, maintain testing accuracy, ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, and work closely with production to maintain product consistency and reduce rejections.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Testing - Supervise and perform routine testing of raw materials,
in-process samples, and finished hair oil batches. Conduct physico-chemical and sensory

tests (color, viscosity, refractive index, acid value, peroxide value, etc.). Verify packaging

material quality and ensure timely product release.

Lab Management & Documentation - Maintain an organized QC lab, proper
documentation, calibration logs, and sample retention. Review and update SOPs and

specifications periodically.

Process Control & Coordination - Coordinate closely with production for in-process
checks, investigate quality issues, and implement CAPA. Support R&D; and trials for new

formulations.

Compliance & Standards - Ensure adherence to BIS, FSSAI, and local regulations.
Coordinate audits and maintain all required quality and regulatory documents.

Team Leadership & Training - Supervise QC chemists and lab assistants, conduct
training on GLP and safety, and promote a quality-driven culture.

Continuous Improvement - Analyze recurring defects, identify improvement areas, and implement process optimization initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education:

B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 8 years in QC within personal care, cosmetics, or edible oil

manufacturing; at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

Key Skills:

Sound knowledge of chemical and physical testing of oils Familiarity with GMP, GLP, BIS, and FSSAI standards Strong analytical and documentation abilities Good coordination with production and packaging teams Hands-on and problem-solving approach

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
