Skills Required :

Key responsibilities

Perform inspections:

Conduct inline and final inspections of garments to check measurements, stitching, fabric quality, trims, and overall appearance.

Monitor production:

Oversee the manufacturing process to ensure consistent quality control at every stage and help reduce defect rates.

Identify and resolve defects:

Pinpoint defects and quality issues, communicate them to relevant departments for corrective action, and help prevent future occurrences.

Ensure compliance:

Verify that all products meet company standards, buyer specifications, and safety regulations, including checking compliance with the company's needle policy.

Maintain documentation:

Prepare and maintain detailed quality reports, inspection records, and other quality-related documentation.

Collaborate with teams:

Work closely with production, merchandising, and QA teams to address quality concerns and implement improvements.

Manage quality standards:

Discuss quality requirements with merchandisers and buyers, and take part in the approval of samples, trims, and final quality.
Required skills and qualifications

Technical knowledge:

Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and the entire garment manufacturing process.

Analytical skills:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes of quality issues.

Attention to detail:

Acute attention to detail is crucial for identifying minor defects.

Communication skills:

Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with other departments.

Experience:

Experience in a quality control or assurance role within the garment or textile industry is often required.

Education:

A bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, or a related field is often preferred.

Computer skills:

Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel, is usually required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Howrah, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
