The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet established quality standards. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation, root?cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in?process, incoming, and final inspections of components and finished products
Implement and monitor quality control procedures and standards
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test data, and quality documentation
Perform root?cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
Work closely with production, design, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications
Use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, etc.
Conduct audits (internal & external) and support certification processes
Monitor process deviations and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Train operators and technicians on quality standards and procedures
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of quality tools:
7 QC Tools, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC
Proficiency in mechanical drawings, GD&T, and engineering tolerances
Hands?on experience with inspection instruments and gauges
Good understanding of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards
Strong analytical and problem?solving abilities
Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to work in a fast?paced manufacturing environment
Qualification
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
Additional certifications in Quality Management (preferred)
