Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced

Quality Control Engineer (Civil)

with 7+ years of experience in construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) Conduct quality inspections for civil works including excavation, concreting, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, finishing, and infrastructure works Ensure materials used at site comply with approved specifications and standards Coordinate material inspections, testing, and approvals with consultants and clients Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to drawings, BOQs, and method statements Identify non-conformities (NCRs), perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions Review and maintain quality documentation such as MIRs, WIRs, test reports, and checklists Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (IS Codes, ASTM, BS, etc.) Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve quality issues Support internal and external quality audits Mentor junior QC engineers and site inspectors Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 7 years of experience as a Quality Control Engineer in civil/construction projects Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and quality procedures Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications Hands-on experience with concrete testing, soil testing, and structural inspections Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 preferred)
