Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech - Mechanical / Production / Industrial
Job Purpose:
To monitor and ensure product quality during the manufacturing process by performing in-process inspections and maintaining compliance with specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct
in-process quality checks
during production stages.
Perform
first-piece approvals (FPA)
and routine dimensional inspections.
Use and maintain
measuring instruments
like vernier, micrometer, dial gauges, etc.
Report and document
non-conformities
and support root cause analysis.
Coordinate with the production team for real-time
quality issue resolution
.
Maintain inspection records, quality logs, and daily reports.
Ensure
instrument calibration
and proper usage on the shop floor.
Support compliance with
ISO/Quality standards
.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of
inspection tools
and
engineering drawings (GD&T)
.
Familiarity with
quality documentation
and basic
ERP/MS Excel
use.
Ability to work in
rotational shifts
under production timelines.
Good communication and coordination skills.
