Role Overview
The QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet the required quality standards, codes, and specifications. This role involves conducting inspections, monitoring processes, and implementing corrective actions to maintain excellence in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality control procedures for construction projects.
Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
Review material test reports, concrete mix designs, and other quality documentation.
Monitor subcontractors' work to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
Maintain records of inspections, tests, and quality reports.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and consultants to resolve quality issues.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Train site staff on quality procedures and best practices.
Prepare and submit monthly quality performance reports to management.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction quality control.
Strong knowledge of IS codes, ASTM standards, and construction materials testing.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC documentation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to lead quality audits and manage multiple stakeholders.
