Job Summary:

The

Quality Control Engineer - Elevator Installation

is responsible for ensuring that all elevator installation activities at project sites are executed in full compliance with the company's

premium quality standards, safety norms, and installation procedures

. The role involves continuous site inspections, process audits, contractor supervision, and documentation to maintain the highest level of installation excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:1. Site Quality Assurance:

Inspect elevator installation works at various project sites to ensure adherence to company standards, drawings, and specifications. Check alignment, leveling, and fitment of mechanical and electrical components. Verify wiring, termination, and routing quality for control panels, drive systems, and safety circuits. Ensure correct use of materials, fasteners, and approved installation tools.

2. Process & Compliance Monitoring:

Implement and enforce

Standard Installation Procedures (SIPs)

and

Quality Checklists

at each site. Conduct stage-wise quality checks (e.g., guide rail installation, car frame assembly, door installation, machine room setup). Verify compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations. Report non-conformities (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

3. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed inspection records, snag lists, and quality reports. Prepare installation audit summaries and submit to the Quality Manager. Support the handover process by ensuring all QC documentation is complete and approved.

4. Coordination & Training:

Work closely with installation teams, subcontractors, and project engineers to maintain consistent quality. Provide on-site technical guidance and best-practice training to installers. Coordinate with Design, Production, and Service teams for feedback and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical. Only Freshers preferred

Technical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of elevator components and installation standards. Familiar with ISO quality systems and safety procedures. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

Soft Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical mindset. Good communication and documentation skills. Proactive, disciplined, and quality-driven approach to work. Willingness to travel frequently to various project sites.
