Quality Control Engineer Electrical LV

About the role:

The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear panels with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. This includes planning and executing inspection, testing and documentation throughout the manufacturing and assembly processes. This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering, manufacturing principles. Responsibilities ensuring compliance with industry standards and continuous improvement, and collaborating with other departments to deliver high-quality, cost-effective Product to customer.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures for LV switchgear panel manufacturing.

Conduct in-process and final inspections of electrical panels, wiring, control systems, and mechanical enclosures.

Verify compliance with IEC, SASO, SEC, and other applicable standards.

Review design drawings, single-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams to ensure alignment with customer and project specifications.

Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and coordinate with third-party inspectors or client representatives.

Identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

Maintain and update QA/QC documentation, checklists, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and material traceability.

Collaborate with production, design, and procurement teams to ensure quality objectives are met.

Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and test instruments.

Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001, SEC audits, etc.).

Provide training to assembly technicians on quality standards and best practices.

Prepare cost of poor quality and maintain records, analysis to reduce cost of product.

Coordinate with electrical teams for interdisciplinary design integration.

Ensure compliance with SASO, SEC, IEC and other relevant standards.

Participate in value engineering, cost estimation and risk assessments related to mechanical-LV interfaces.

Candidate requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in quality control/assurance for low voltage switchgear panels.

Strong knowledge of IEC 61439, SEC standards, and panel board construction practices.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Experience in working with major clients in Saudi Arabia such as SEC, Aramco, SABIC (preferred).

Proficient in using inspection tools, test equipment, and ERP

Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
