The QC Engineer/Executive will be responsible for meeting quality standards of bought out items and parts manufactured in house to meet quality standards of the end product. His/ her role involves inspecting, testing, and monitoring production processes and materials, identifying defects or deviations, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities:
? Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
? Conduct in-process quality checks during manufacturing and assembly stages.
? Must have hands on experience of using instruments like callipers, micrometres, gauges, and CMM machine.
? Coordinate with production and design teams to identify and resolve quality issues. ? Prepare and maintain reports, including NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and inspection logs.
? Assist in internal and external quality audits.
? Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 or other relevant quality certifications.
? Train production staff on basic quality standards and procedures and reduce rework.
? Work towards FTR ( First time right) concept
Key Skills and Competencies:
? Strong knowledge of quality standards in industrial machinery manufacturing.
? Proficient in using measuring and inspection instruements.
? Understanding of mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
? Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. ? Good documentation and communication skills.
? Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) to meet 9001 standards.
? Must be aware of 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
Education & Experience:
? Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
? 2-5 years of experience in Quality Control within industrial machinery or heavy engineering industry.
? Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and other quality standards preferred.
