Job Summary

The QC Engineer is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring that all materials, processes, and finished products meet defined quality standards, drawings, and client requirements. The role involves coordination with production, site, and project teams to maintain high-quality output.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Inspection & Control

Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections as per quality standards. Ensure work execution complies with approved drawings, BOQs, and specifications. Identify quality issues, non-conformities, and deviations during production or site execution. Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.

Material & Vendor Quality

Inspect raw materials and purchased items as per specifications. Coordinate with stores and purchase teams for material acceptance or rejection. Support vendor evaluation and quality audits when required.

Process & Documentation

Ensure implementation of SOPs, checklists, and quality procedures. Maintain QC documents such as inspection reports, test records, and NCRs. Assist in preparation of Method Statements, ITPs, and quality manuals.

Coordination & Corrective Actions

Coordinate with production, installation, and site teams to resolve quality issues. Suggest corrective and preventive actions to avoid repeat defects. Support internal and external audits.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure quality inspections are conducted following safety norms. Report unsafe practices or conditions observed during inspections.

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of quality control processes and standards. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Knowledge of inspection tools and measurement techniques. Good documentation and reporting skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Qualifications

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil / Production / Industrial Engineering. 1-4 years of experience in QC (manufacturing / interior / construction projects). Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.

Preferred Industry Experience

Interior Design & Fit-Out Furniture / Modular Manufacturing Fabrication / Sheet Metal / Woodwork Construction / Project Execution
