Job Description

Key Responsibilities:1



1. Quality Planning & Strategy



Understand

customer quality requirements

and ensure compliance with

contractual obligations, RFQs, and industry standards (ISO, ASTM, ASME, IATF, DIN, etc.)

.

Develop and implement a

Quality Control Plan (QCP)

for components in

Machining, Casting, Forging, and Sheet Metal Fabrication

processes.

Define and establish

Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)

to ensure

in-process quality control

and prevent defects before final production.

Conduct

risk assessments (FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA)

and implement

corrective and preventive measures (CAPA)

.

2. Raw Material Quality Control



Ensure all raw materials comply with

customer specifications and industry standards

.

Review and validate

Raw Material Test Certificates (RMTCs), Mill Test Certificates (MTCs), and third-party NABL-accredited lab reports

.

Identify and address

material non-conformities

, collaborating with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.

3. In-Process Quality Assurance



Implement

process validation

for machining, casting, forging, and fabrication operations.

Monitor

dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties, surface finish, and plating thickness

at different production stages.

Establish a

Defect Identification & Non-Conformance (NC) Reporting System

to classify and address defects efficiently.

Work closely with the

Production & Project Management Teams

to optimize processes and eliminate recurring defects.

4. Final Inspection & Testing



Conduct

comprehensive final inspections

, ensuring compliance with customer-approved drawings, tolerances, and surface requirements.

Engage with

third-party inspection agencies

for large or high-criticality production batches.

Verify and approve

supplier-submitted inspection reports

, ensuring they are

signed, stamped, and documented

properly.

5. Packaging & Dispatch Quality Control



Ensure packaging meets

export compliance, customer requirements, and industry best practices

.

Implement

protective packaging measures

(bubble wrap, VCI packing, shrink wrapping) to prevent damage during shipping.

Conduct

final verification of labels, barcodes, and documentation

before dispatch.

Approve

shipments only after confirming compliance with customer requirements and export regulations

.

6. Compliance & Customer Interaction



Maintain

ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, or other relevant certifications

for manufacturing processes.

Conduct

customer audits, supplier audits, and internal quality system audits

to ensure compliance.

Handle

customer complaints, implement RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and ensure CAPA implementation

.

Act as the

primary liaison between the customer and the internal team

to clarify quality requirements and expectations.

7. Team Leadership & Process Improvement



Lead and mentor the

Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) teams

.

Develop and implement

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

for quality control processes.

Drive

continuous improvement initiatives

using

Lean Six Sigma methodologies

.

Identify areas for

process optimization, cost reduction, and defect minimization

.

Key Skills & Qualifications:



Education:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in

Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering

.

Experience:

Minimum

10+ years in Quality Assurance & Control

within

Machining, Casting, Forging, or Sheet Metal Fabrication in Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing



Strong knowledge of

ISO, ASTM, ASME, IATF, DIN standards

.

Expertise in

NDT, DT, and advanced inspection methodologies

.

Proficiency in

root cause analysis (RCA), 8D, FMEA, and CAPA

.

Experience with

supplier quality audits, risk assessment, and defect prevention

.

Hands-on experience with

CMM, hardness testing, plating thickness measurement, and surface roughness analysis

.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):



ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification



Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification



ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)



Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
