The Team: The Amazon One Research team is primarily concerned with the development of the core matching algorithms using machine (deep) learning and computer vision to achieve the accuracy, scale and latency goals. Some of the challenges include dealing with pose variations, illumination conditions, presentation attacks and making the end-to-end machine learning pipeline more efficient. The research team at Bangalore is expanding and we are looking for Quality Assurance Technicians to make this possible. The Role: We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Quality Assurance Technician (QAT) to work on functional testing, both manually and with automated tools. QAT's at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking on tasks of test case execution from start to completion with minimal help. QAT's are responsible for understanding the product in detail, and updating the test case tool with test execution results. They write and maintain black- box test cases based on well- defined feature requirements, writing tests cases that are high quality, high value, and maintainable. QAT's also have experience with gray box, and white box testing techniques; they are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files and reproduce errant product behavior to assist developers or other testers and identify, track, and accurately report defects found. QAT's produce good reproducible defect reports to verify fixed bugs are truly fixed. Develop and execute automated tests and test plans. Key job responsibilities QATs for Amazon One Research team would be required to a) Support the data collection and annotation efforts towards building robust machine learning models b) Support root causing of the errors, running scripts/tools for automated root causing, following manual SOPs for accuracy reporting c) Do manual/automated/semi-automated testing of machine learning / deep learning computer vision models (for example trying to break the system) and communicate the findings d) Support automated testing of models by running test cases and generating reports e) Support data cleaning efforts About the team The Amazon One Research team is primarily concerned with the development of the core matching algorithms using machine (deep) learning and computer vision to achieve the accuracy, scale and latency goals of Amazon One. Some of the challenges include dealing with pose variations, illumination conditions, presentation attacks, making the end-to-end machine learning pipeline more efficient and building tools/automation frameworks to support scalability.

• Sustained coursework, or certificate of completion in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Attention to details and ability to root cause important issues impacting process or customers
• Demonstrated experience prioritizing your own work with limited guidance from your manager or peers
• Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in testing a customer facing application.
• Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple projects simultaneously and be able to synthesize the results
