is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards across construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on preventing defects, improving processes, and delivering projects that meet safety, performance, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (QA)
Develop and implement
Project Quality Plans (PQP)
, method statements, and inspection & test plans (ITPs).
Establish quality procedures in line with
ISO standards
, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
Conduct internal audits and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
Coordinate with project teams to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Quality Control (QC)
Monitor site activities to ensure workmanship and materials comply with approved drawings and specifications.
Conduct inspections and witness tests (materials, workmanship, installations).
Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and test reports.
Identify non-conformances (NCRs), analyze root causes, and ensure timely closure.
Maintain quality records, checklists, and as-built documentation.
Coordination & Reporting
Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on quality matters.
Prepare quality reports, dashboards, and progress updates for management.
Support handover and close-out activities, including snag lists and final inspections.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in
Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
(or relevant discipline).
3-8 years
of QA/QC experience in construction or engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of
codes, standards, and specifications
relevant to the discipline.
Certification in
ISO 9001
or equivalent quality systems (preferred).
Experience with inspection tools, testing procedures, and documentation control.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and quality management documentation.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
