- Assistant QA Manager

Position: Assistant QA Manager
Department: Quality Assurance
Location: Wada Factory
Reporting to: QA Head / Director

Role Objective:

To oversee and strengthen the Quality Assurance function, ensuring the IPQA team performs effectively in production areas, deviations are addressed, yields are reconciled, and QMS compliance is maintained across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversight of Team

Supervise IPQA officers deployed in Granulation, Compression, Coating, Blister, and Packing.

Ensure line clearance is done within 10 minutes of intimation.

Verify that IPQA staff are checking counter readings, yield reconciliation, cleaning, and labelling properly.

Random audits of IPQA records to ensure no shortcuts or back-dated entries.

Escalate non-performance of IPQA staff immediately to QA Head / Management.

2. Yield & Reconciliation

Ensure reconciliation of granules, compressed tablets, coated tablets, blisters, and packed cartons is accurate before transfer.

Verify IPQA checks on rejection % and foil consumption variance.

Investigate yield losses >2% and raise CAPA.

3. QMS & Documentation

Implement and monitor Change Control, Deviation, CAPA, Market Complaints, OOS, OOT.

Review BMR/BPR after production and ensure IPQA entries are complete.

Ensure destruction & defoiling records are verified by IPQA.

4. Training & Discipline

Train IPQA staff on GMP, GDP, and specific production monitoring requirements.

Ensure discipline in raising deviations immediately, not after batch completion.

Conduct refresher training for operators (through IPQA team) to reduce rejections.

Key Skills Required

Strong knowledge of WHO-GMP guidelines and IPQA oversight.

Ability to lead and monitor a team.

Problem-solving and strict enforcement mindset.

Strong documentation and audit readiness.

Qualifications & Experience

Bsc/ Msc/ B.Pharm.

5-8 years in QA (with minimum 3 years supervising IPQA).

Experience in WHO-GMP approved facility preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
