Position: Quality Assurance Lead - Android, Digital Business Purpose: The Incumbent will be responsible for creating and leading execution of automation framework for SonyLiv Platform Education: B.E./B.Tech, MCA or Equivalent Computer Degree Experience: 7-10 Years, Experience in Android Mobile/Android TV Application Testing Manual + Automation (Preferred Exp of OTT industry) Location: Mumbai Reporting Relationship: AVP - Technical Architect, Digital Business Business/Channel/Function: Digital Key Responsibilities: Quality Engineering Lead- Good knowledge of testing processes (SDLC/STLC) Good experience in team management & test planning Lead or participate in technology and program level reviews Leading product release QA cycles, including creating and tracking to QA release plans, coordinating team resources & activities to efficiently & effectively deliver high release confidence based on deep, broad comprehensive test coverage Leading the QA automation system architecture and design. Experience on Audio/Player playback testing Feature Testing, Sanity Testing, Regression Testing, Exploratory Testing Ad-Hoc Testing, Security Testing, Monkey Testing, Interruption Testing Ensure test case design and execution methodologies are technically sound Responsible for creating test cases, detailing test cases, test plans, and consolidating and reporting test results. Design and implement quality process and quality metrics for the applications across Experience of using Charles or Any proxy tool to check/modify api request and response for application Experience on basic sys logging & xcode commands Experience to verify data analytics of application Experience on any crash analytics tool like firebase to check crash logs Knowledge of debugging & logs of application Knowledge of API, CMS Able to resolve issues and remove impediments for the QA teams Should have an ability to convey and document test cases and execute them Strong problem solving skills Ability to work on multiple simultaneous product and self initiatives . Automation Good understanding of test automation on Android mobile/ Android TV Application Experience of automation on cloud devices/remote devices Good experience on Espresso /Selenium/Appium/Robotium Framework and Java/Kotlin Good understanding of Shell Scripting/Python and code management tools Good understanding of frameworks for performance and KPI Good understanding of processes and methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations. Responsible for the timely development and maintenance of most critical automation frameworks Responsible for using the latest technologies to design and maintain automation for existing and new products. Expertise on CICD (Git/Jenkins) related to automation for remote execution & pipeline and Build generation setup Responsible for developing automation dashboards and reports to quality engineering Mobile/TV App Security Checklist Expert Google Analytic and Video Player Analytic Validation Automation Automation of video player & all type of ads validation Critical Competencies: Behavioural Should be a good team player & able to work independently under pressure. Experience handling the remote and inhouse teams is must. Strategic thinker balanced with a grasp of details. Must possess the ability to switch between execution and strategy mode most effortlessly. Technical Android Studio, Eclipse, Appuim, Espresso, Robotium, Charles, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, firebase crash analytic Should have good knowledge and experience in Automation frameworks development and execution from scratch Should have good hands-on knowledge of app technologies, Web Services, APIs Gateways for mobile apps. Through understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and Exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs. Good understanding and experience on process automation Strong programming skills in Java and scripting languages Better understanding of Android operating systems and Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CDNs is preferred. Should have excellent programming/coding and logical skills.
