To ensure that all cosmetic products are manufactured in compliance with GMP, regulatory, and company quality standards, maintaining consistency, safety, and efficacy throughout production.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Documentation & Compliance
Prepare, review, and maintain SOPs, BMRs, BPRs, change control, deviation, and CAPA records.
Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., BIS, CDSCO).
Maintain and update QA documentation, ensuring traceability and control.
Conduct internal audits and support external inspections (regulatory or customer).
2. In-Process & Finished Product Quality
Monitor and verify in-process quality checks at different stages of production and filling.
Review batch manufacturing and packing records before batch release.
Coordinate with QC, Production, and R&D for investigation and corrective action in case of any non-conformance.
3. Vendor & Material Quality
Support vendor qualification and raw/packaging material approval.
Review incoming material COAs and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
4. Training & Awareness
Conduct GMP and hygiene training for production and packing personnel.
Promote awareness of quality policies and standards across departments.
5. Change Control & Risk Management
Manage deviations, change control, OOS, and OOT investigations.
Assist in implementing risk assessments for new or revised processes.
6. Product Release & Market Support
Ensure timely release of finished products after QA review.
Support in handling market complaints and product recalls if required.
Qualification & Experience:
Education:
B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Tech in Cosmetic Science or related field.
Experience:
2-5 years in Quality Assurance within cosmetic, personal care, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, ISO 22716, and BIS standards.
Familiarity with documentation practices and regulatory requirements.
Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Zero critical deviations and non-conformances.
Timely batch release and documentation closure.
Compliance audit scores and CAPA implementation rate.
