Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Overview

As a Senior QA Analyst, you will define and develop test plans, test cases within a cross-functional agile team and contribute to the efficient and quality-oriented delivery of the Intelex platform. Grow into a domain expert and get knowledgeable on the application under test.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

Conduct manual and exploratory testing of the product. Responsible for the execution of manual and automation test cases (scripts) that ensure comprehensive testing Work in a Scrum team using Agile best practices Fully document any unexpected anomalies or defects identified in testing with instruction of how to reproduce each Troubleshoot defects and manage defect tracking and resolution processes Establish and maintain good working relationships with peers in Development, Product Management, Professional Services and external clients
Participate in improving processes, automation and QA integration to DevOps culture

Able to contribute to an inclusive mindset to promote collaboration

Preferred:

Experience with Agile and Scrum Methodologies

Technical Competencies

Required:

Solid understanding of quality assurance principles and practices, particularly within an agile software development practice In-depth experience writing and executing test plans and test cases from requirements and technical specifications Experience with defect and work item tracking systems like JIRA

Preferred:

Experience with testing cloud/distributed architectures, REST APIs & Microservices

Experience

Required:

Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including 2+ years of experience working in an Agile environment. Testing web and mobile software applications in a SaaS or on-premises: 2+ years Cypress automation experience and/or Appium: 2+ years

Preferred:

Experience with backend testing using tools like SQL or Postman: 2+ years Experience with EHSQ systems is an asset

Education

Required:

Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred:

Certification within a recognized Quality program, such as CTFL, CASQ, CSQA or CSTE, is preferred
