Job Description

Monitor the Aluminium extrusion process to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct in-process and final product inspections using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., Vernier, calipers, micrometers, Webster, profile projectors, UTM, BHN Machine). Interpret technical drawings and tolerances (e.g., CAD, AutoCAD, or blueprints). Perform mechanical tests (e.g., tensile, hardness, dimensional accuracy) on extruded aluminium profiles. Conduct surface finish inspections and verify anodizing, powder coating, or thermal break processes meet standards. Maintain quality records (inspection reports, certificates of compliance, corrective actions, etc.). Prepare and participate in customer and third-party audits. Investigate customer complaints and production defects. Use tools such as 8D, Ishikawa (fishbone), or 5 Whys to identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and design teams to identify and implement process improvements. Support lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and improve quality.
