Position- Quality Assurance & Control

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS), typically

ISO 9001

or similar, specifically tailored for metal fabrication. Establish and enforce

Quality Control (QC) procedures

and inspection plans for all stages of fabrication, including raw material inspection, in-process checks (cutting, bending, welding, machining), and final product inspection. Conduct regular internal

quality audits

and prepare the facility for external audits. Manage the

Non-Conformance Report (NCR)

process, including identification, documentation, root cause analysis, and implementation of effective

Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

. Oversee the calibration and maintenance of all inspection, measuring, and test equipment .

Inspection and Testing

Perform or supervise the inspection of

raw materials

(e.g., steel plates, sections, pipes) for compliance with material specifications and mill certificates. Verify dimensional accuracy and fit-up of components using precision measuring instruments. Prepare detailed inspection reports, final documentation, and

Quality reports

for customer submission.

Process Improvement

Collaborate with Production and Design teams to proactively address quality issues and implement

process improvements

to reduce scrap, rework, and cycle time.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Education:

Degree or Diploma in

Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

Minimum 3

years of progressive experience

as a Quality Engineer or similar role in the

metal fabrication

( piping, general fabrication, etc.).

Technical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of metal fabrication processes, including

welding, cutting, forming, machining, and finishing

.

QMS Expertise:

Proven experience implementing and managing an

ISO 9001

or equivalent QMS.

Communication:

Written and verbal communication skills in

English and relevant local languages

for effective interaction with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

: 3-4 Lakhs

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
