Key Responsibilities
Oversee the entire quality management system (QMS) across all units - Camshafts, Components, and Foundry.
Ensure adherence to internal quality standards and regulatory/compliance requirements (ISO/TS/IATF, etc.).
Act as the
primary point of contact for all customer quality-related communication
, including feedback, complaints, and corrective actions.
Prepare and share detailed
quality reports
, CAPA documentation, and audit responses with customers.
Conduct
internal audits
and assist in
external audits
(customer audits, certification audits, etc.).
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and other departments to resolve quality issues and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Drive initiatives for process improvement, defect reduction, and first-time-right production.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of all quality inspection equipment and instruments.
Train and guide quality inspectors and team members on quality standards, tools, and procedures.
Monitor quality KPIs such as rejection rates, rework percentage, and customer returns.
Conduct root cause analysis for major quality concerns and document lessons learned.
Requirements
Qualification:
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering
Experience:
7+ years
in quality assurance, preferably in
automotive or auto component manufacturing
Strong knowledge of quality tools.
Hands-on experience with
ISO/IATF audits
, customer complaint handling, and CAPA processes
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and internal teams
Ability to manage and guide a team, set processes, and ensure accountability
Strong documentation and reporting skills using MS Office, Excel, and ERP systems
