Verify compliance of raw materials (polymers, chemicals, additives, etc.) with purchase specifications.
Perform tests such as tensile strength, melt flow index (MFI), impact resistance, hardness, and chemical resistance.
Maintain calibration and proper usage of quality testing equipment.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure that production processes adhere to ISO/industry quality standards.
Monitor adherence to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) in production.
Document and maintain quality inspection reports, test certificates, and compliance records.
Support regulatory compliance related to plastic and chemical usage.
Defect Analysis & Problem Solving
Identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities in materials and finished products.
Work with production and R&D teams to analyze root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Reduce rejection rates and improve process capability through continuous improvement initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain proper records of test results, inspection reports, and sample retention.
Generate periodic quality reports for management review.
Ensure traceability of products through batch records and quality documentation.
Coordination & Continuous Improvement
Coordinate with purchase, stores, and production departments to ensure consistent quality supply chain.
Conduct vendor quality audits when required.
Train shop floor employees on quality awareness, defect detection, and good manufacturing practices.
Suggest improvements in process parameters for better product quality and reduced wastage.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of

Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry / Polymer Science / Plastics Technology / Chemical Engineering
or equivalent.
2-5 years of experience in
quality control/quality assurance
in a plastics, chemicals, or manufacturing industry.
Familiarity with plastic processing methods (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.) is preferred.
