The Organization is a leading manufacturer of Jewellery designs, headquartered in Mumbai since over 30 years and supplying to their B2B and B2C clients
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Standards & Inspection:
o Inspect raw materials (gold, silver, diamonds, gemstones, alloys) for authenticity, quality, and compliance with company standards.
o Conduct in-process and final inspection of jewellery for finishing, setting, polish, weight, purity, and hallmarking.
2. Process Monitoring:
o Develop and implement QA processes across manufacturing stages (casting, stone setting, polishing, plating, finishing).
o Monitor compliance with BIS hallmarking and industry quality standards.
o Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
3. Documentation & Reporting:
o Maintain detailed records of inspections, rejections, and corrective actions.
o Prepare quality reports and share findings with production, procurement, and management.
o Support audits and certifications related to quality and compliance.
4. Problem Solving & Improvement:
o Identify root causes of defects and work with production teams to resolve issues.
o Recommend process improvements to reduce wastage, enhance quality, and increase efficiency.
o Train staff and artisans on quality requirements and inspection techniques.
5. Customer & Market Focus:
o Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality.
o Benchmark against industry best practices and competitors' quality standards.
o Ensure final products meet customer expectations in design, durability, and craftsmanship.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes.
Understanding of precious metals, diamonds, and gemstone quality parameters.
Familiarity with BIS hallmarking, IGI/GIA certification, and industry compliance standards.
Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and reporting abilities.
Ability to work closely with artisans, craftsmen, and management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate / Diploma in Jewellery Design, Gemology, Metallurgy, or related field.
Certification in Diamond Grading / Gemology (preferred).
3-7 years of experience in quality assurance/control in the jewellery industry.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
% reduction in rejections/returns.
Compliance with hallmarking and certification standards.
Accuracy and consistency in quality checks.
Turnaround time for inspections and approvals.
Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution rate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
