Your Role
As a QA Engineer in the Data Platform studio, you will be part of the QA team that develops automated tests for our Knowledge Management tools used by knowledge managers within Gensler. You will work with a team of web developers, service developers, database developers and product managers that are responsible for the development and maintenance of Genslers KM applications
What You Will Do
Work with the QA Team to define the overall testing strategy including definition of end-to-end and acceptance plan
Reviewing and analyzing software requirements and specifications
Develop well-structured and detailed test plans and test cases
Identifying, documenting, and reporting software defects
Design and implement robust automated tests using Selenium and Python
Communicate test plans to stakeholders to ensure all testing activities are conducted in line with expectations
Create reports, dashboards and metrics to enable visibility into the status and progress of our products, tests, and releases
Work closely with the software development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Develop a data quality test plan from the ground up to enable data quality issues to be discovered via automation
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related field
2-5+ years of experience in the field of Software Engineering or Quality Assurance
Experience in testing web applications and REST API services
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment, be a team player, and work with globally distributed teams
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Performance and/or security testing experience is a plus
2+ years of experience programming with Python.
2+ years of experience writing SQL.
2+ years of experience building automated tests with tools such as Jenkins
