Job Title QS Engineer - MEP
Location Chennai (Full-time on-site)
Role Overview
Responsible for cost management, quantity take-offs, and commercial
administration for MEP works across 9 elevated stations. This role ensures that
all installations are measured accurately and that payment applications align
with the 760-day project schedule
Core Responsibility
Quantity Take-off: Performs detailed measurement of MEP materials and works
from drawings and BIM models for HVAC, Firefighting, and Electrification .
Billing & Payment: Prepares monthly interim payment applications and
manages the 5% retention money cycles as per CMRL terms.
Variation Management: Identifies, quantifies, and prices variations or extra
works in compliance with tender specifications and Employer's requirements.
Subcontractor Claims: Reviews and certifies subcontractor invoices and
progress claims for accuracy and compliance.
Digital Cost Control: Utilizes the PMIS and ERP systems to track commercial
deliverables and maintain the project budget.
Qualifications Needed
1. Educational Background
B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) is mandatory.
2. Professional Experience
Total Career Span: Minimum 7 years of total professional work experience.
Similar Experience: Minimum 4 years specifically as a Quantity Surveyor for
large-scale E&M or metro projects.
Project Nature: Proven track record in managing commercial aspects of multidisciplinary
infrastructure projects.
3. Key Competencies
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrification,
Fire Alarm) and their respective measurement units .
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, ERP/SAP, and familiarity with
BIM-based quantity extraction.
Communication: Fluent in English for preparing commercial reports and
liaising with the Engineer

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
