- QS Billing Engineer (Quantity Surveyor - Billing)

Experience Required

: 3-7 Years (Civil Construction)

Role Purpose

To ensure accurate measurement, valuation, billing, and financial reporting of project work, while controlling project cost and complying with contractual terms.

Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Measurements

Prepare

RA Bills

,

Final Bills

, based on BOQ & approved drawings. Maintain

Measurement Books

and documentation for billing. Conduct joint measurements with clients / consultants. Prepare and verify

Subcontractor bills

.

Costing & Financial Controls

Track

material consumption vs theoretical quantities

. Monitor

project budget vs. actual

and report variances. Assist in

rate analysis

, extra items billing, and claims.

Contracts & Documentation

Ensure billing compliance with contract terms & conditions. Maintain records related to

variations / deviations

. Support audits and respond to quantity-related queries.

Co-ordination

Work closely with site execution team for progress updates. Liaise with client billing teams & consultants for certification. Communicate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

BOQ, drawings, and IS codes

Good command in

Excel, AutoCAD, Billing Software

Analytical and numerical skills Documentation and negotiation abilities Knowledge of GST/TDS deductions related to billing

Qualification

B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (or Diploma with experience)

Project Manager / Billing Manager / Contracts Head

Accuracy of billing quantities Timely submission and certification of bills Cost savings through quantity & wastage control Compliance of contract terms
