Job Overview TE Connectivity\'s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication. Job Roles & Responsibilities The role demands to work with Metrology team to plan and support for measurement tasks. Will work closely with New Product Development organization, Quality and Operations to improve End to End Dimensional Metrology Value Stream. RESPONSIBILITIES . Effective management of workload in collaboration with the team members, considering forecast, employee leave plans, peak load situation etc. . Support various global TE locations for planning and controlling of Geometrical and Dimensional Metrology workload of New products (First Article Inspection, Post Tool Correction Dimensional Validation, PPAP Measurement Reports etc.). . Regular interactions to define Metrology Feasibility and Strategy by understanding measurement requirements/specifications from internal customers (Product Engineers / Mold Engineers) as per 2D/3D drawings and CAD Models. . Demonstrate ceaseless efforts in reviewing the existing process to identify the scope for improvement and support implementation. . Knowledge sharing and mentoring based on team\'s operational requirements and strategies . Improve the knowledge and skill in the field of product measurement and validation in terms of Project Management. . Work directly with our immediate customers and suppliers to ensure project timelines are met. . Work with the line manager to set performance objectives based on Organization\'s roadmap, and review periodically to obtain necessary feedback for improvement. . Follow up with suppliers and stakeholders to achieve the timeline What your background should be EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE . Bachelor of Engg / Technology OR Diploma in Engg. (Mechanical/Mechatronics) with relevant additional experience. . Knowledge of Product Validation Process in Automotive Industries (APQP, PPAP). . Knowledge of production planning control . Basic knowledge of international standards and codes (ASME, ISO) related to product measurement and validation. . Knowledge about 3D metrology technologies CRITICAL EXPERIENCE . 1+ Year of Industry Experience preferably in Automotive and have basic knowledge of Product development processes (2+ years for candidates with Diploma) . Competent knowledge of GD&T (ASME / ISO GPS) concepts and experience with its application in product design and validation. .
