Description:
A Qlik Developer is responsible for designing and developing dashboards and reports using QlikView and Qlik Sense.
They transform raw data into meaningful insights through data visualization and provide actionable business intelligence
Key Responsibilities:
The process involved with every stage of the software development process, from figuring out what users need and how they'll use the software to presenting a completed application.
You may sometimes work with computer programmers, although many developers complete all the coding themselves
Requirement Gathering:
Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Data Modeling:
Design and build efficient data models using Qlik's associative engine, often employing star-schema or snowflake schema concepts.
Scripting and Data Transformation:
Develop extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) scripts to connect to various data sources and create QVD files.
Dashboard Development:
Create interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports to visualize complex datasets.
Data Validation:
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data used in Qlik applications.
Collaboration:
Work with business users, data analysts, and other IT teams to deliver successful Qlik solutions.
Performance Optimization:
Troubleshoot and optimize existing Qlik applications for better performance.
Staying Updated:
Keep abreast of new Qlik features, enhancements, and best practices to implement innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
Qlik Expertise:
Proficiency in either QlikView or Qlik Sense is essential.
Data Modeling:
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, such as dimensional and relational models.
Scripting:
Experience with Qlik scripting for data manipulation and ETL processes.
Data Warehousing:
Knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing principles.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to analyze complex data and solve technical and business challenges.
Communication:
Strong communication skills to effectively translate technical information for business users.
