Job Title - QC Welding Engineer Department - Maroli - Surat
1) ASME Work Experience
? Knowledge about ASME Sec VIII Div. 1, Sec V & Sec IX
? Experience in preparing Welding Procedure Specifications and Qualifying Welders
? Experience of facing ASME Audit
2) NDT Level II
? Perform and interpret Dye Penetrant Testing (DTP)
? Film interpretation and report preparation of Radiography Test
? Interpretation of Ultrasonic Test
3) Welding Procedures
? Hands on experience of GTAW, SMAW, GMAW and SAW welding procedures
4) Process Improvement
? Facilitate new process development and process improvement in welding to enhance Quality, cost and time.
? Carry out welding consumable cost estimation
.
5) Interpersonal Skills
? Communication in regards to welding and NDT/NDE with Clients, Third parties and Authorized Inspector.
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Especially the ability to work cross- departments within the company and with outside agencies/vendors.
? Communicate clear decisions, next steps, and accountability.
? Have good presentation skills.
Core Performance Metric
? Preparation of new PQR and WPS in line to job requirements.
? Preparation of Shop Weld Plans, weld maps, etc. in line to job requirements.
? Qualification of Welders and welding operators.
? Cost and Estimation of new welding procedures and welding consumables.
? Handle new development and research projects of welding department.
