Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Production & Raw Material Inspection

Fabric/Trim Audit: Inspect incoming raw materials (fabric, thread, zippers, buttons, labels) for quality, color consistency (shade variation), weight, composition, and damage before they enter production.
Lab Testing: Conduct or coordinate tests for properties like shrinkage, colorfastness, pilling, and strength according to specifications.
Pattern & Cutting Check: Verify patterns against design specifications and check the accuracy of the cutting process to ensure correct size and minimal material waste.
Pilot Run/Size Set Approval: Inspect and approve initial production samples (size sets) to confirm construction, fit, and aesthetic details are correct before bulk production starts.

2. In-Process (Inline) Inspection

Stitching & Seam Audit: Conduct regular inspections on the sewing lines, checking stitch consistency, seam strength, stitching accuracy, and alignment of stripes/patterns.
Visual Defect Check: Identify and document visible flaws such as stains, fabric defects, puckering, missed stitches, or unfinished edges.
Measurement Verification: Perform in-line checks to ensure garments conform to the required measurement tolerances and specifications outlined in the tech pack.
Corrective Action: Immediately report quality issues to the production team and verify that corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.

3. Final Inspection & Documentation

Final Garment Audit: Perform a comprehensive audit on finished goods, checking overall appearance, functionality (zippers, snaps, buttons), labeling, packaging, and carton assortment.
Compliance: Ensure all products meet the required industry standards (e.g., AQL levels) and customer-specific quality requirements.
Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inspections, defect rates, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken.
Shipment Approval: Issue the final quality approval for shipments, certifying that the goods are ready to be dispatched.
