The Assistant QC Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all food products comply with established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves implementing and monitoring quality control procedures, conducting audits, supervising QC personnel, and ensuring the overall quality and safety of food products throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Standards & Compliance:
Ensure all food products meet company-defined quality standards and comply with national and international food safety regulations (e.g., FSSAI, NABL, MSME).
Policy Implementation:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and policies in line with industry best practices and organizational goals.Conduct regular audits and inspections of production facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential risks, non-compliance, or improvement areas.Train, guide, and supervise the quality control team to ensure adherence to quality protocols and continuous performance improvement.Analyze QC data to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for corrective/preventive actions.Maintain accurate and timely records of all inspections, quality control activities, corrective actions, and compliance documentation.Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Stay updated on changes in food safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices; ensure timely compliance.Devise product specifications and set raw material requirements; monitor supplier compliance.Ensure that manufacturing processes align with local and global production standards.Coordinate with production and engineering teams to maintain quality benchmarks during product development and manufacturing.Manage product release through SAP systems ensuring all quality checks and documentation are completed.Promote MSME ZED practices within the organization to achieve high product quality with minimal environmental impact.Manage uploading and coordination of external lab test reports on the FSSAI portal to ensure transparency and consumer safety.Act as the Food Safety Team Leader managing the organization's FSMS (Food Safety Management System).Audit pest control and sanitation processes to ensure their effectiveness in maintaining food safety.Approve packaging material and designs in line with FSSAI rules; manage barcode generation and tracking.Ensure product and water testing is carried out as per NABL norms for internationally recognized quality assurance.Responsible for yearly filing of returns and evaluation of investment performances within the quality function.Contribute to and manage the annual quality control budget.
