Job Description

Role Overview
The QC Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and monitoring quality control systems across residential real estate projects. Based at the Mumbai Head Office, the role will involve periodic site visits to ensure adherence to approved standards, specifications, and best practices across civil, MEP, interior, and finishing works.
This role is critical in maintaining consistent quality benchmarks across multiple projects and acting as a central quality authority for project teams and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems & Standards
Develop, implement, and continuously improve QA/QC policies, procedures, and checklists for residential projects.
Establish quality benchmarks aligned with project specifications, codes, and industry best practices.
Ensure standardization of QA/QC documentation across all sites.
Design & Pre-Execution Reviews
Participate in design and drawing reviews to incorporate quality requirements at early stages.
Review and approve ITPs, method statements, and QA/QC plans submitted by contractors.
Ensure mock-ups and sample approvals (civil, MEP, finishes) are completed prior to execution.
Site Monitoring & Audits
Conduct periodic site audits and QC inspections across ongoing residential projects.
Verify quality of structural works, MEP installations, interior works, and finishing activities.
Perform QC walk-downs, stage-wise inspections, and snag audits.
Coordinate with PMC and site teams to validate contractor workmanship.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions
Issue NCRs, observations, and quality deviation reports.
Track closure of NCRs and corrective/preventive actions.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare quality audit reports, dashboards, and management summaries for HO review.
Maintain centralized quality records and inspection data.
Provide quality inputs for monthly project review meetings.
Training & Continuous Improvement
Conduct quality awareness sessions and trainings for site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Support project teams in improving workmanship standards.
Drive a quality-first culture across projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering (QA/QC certification preferred).
8-12 years of experience in QA/QC for residential real estate projects.
Strong exposure to civil, MEP, interior, and finishing works.
Prior experience working with PMC / developer / real estate advisory firms preferred.
Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and specifications.
Hands-on experience in quality audits, inspections, NCR management, and reporting.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and basic quality tracking tools.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Willingness to travel to sites as and when required.
Key Success Indicators
Reduction in rework and quality deviations.
Timely closure of NCRs.
Consistent quality standards across all residential projects.
Improved contractor workmanship and compliance.
