Job Summary:

The QC Manager - Interior Design is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all interior design works meet the required quality standards. The role involves inspecting materials, finishes, and on-site installations to ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement quality control processes and checklists for all interior projects. Inspect materials, furniture, joinery, finishes, and installation works at various project stages. Coordinate with design, production, and project teams to ensure quality adherence throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and document quality issues, defects, and deviations from design standards. Conduct regular site visits to monitor workmanship and material quality. Approve samples and mock-ups before final implementation. Prepare and maintain QC reports, inspection checklists, and corrective action logs. Work closely with vendors and subcontractors to ensure material and work quality compliance. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during execution. Train site supervisors and installation teams on quality standards and inspection techniques.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of interior design materials, finishes, joinery, and site execution. Excellent understanding of technical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset. Effective communication and documentation skills. Leadership and team coordination ability. Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO preferred).

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related field. 5-10 years of experience in quality control within interior design, fit-out, or construction projects. Experience in high-end commercial, retail, or residential interiors preferred.
