We are seeking a skilled Lab Chemist / Lab Technician to join our Pharmaceutical intermediate manufacturing unit. The role involves QC and in-process testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, analytical testing using HPLC and titration methods, and maintaining GMP-compliant documentation in line with pharma audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Raw Material & Finished Product Testing:-
Determine purity using perchloric acid
titration, non-volatile residue determination, and HPLC assay. - Measure melting point, moisture content, and ash content per SOPs. - Analyze test results to ensure compliance with specifications.
2. In-Process Testing:-
Conduct checks on intermediates and crude products: pH, alkalinity/acidity, moisture, and purity.
Provide real-time data to monitor reaction progress and ensure process quality.
3. HPLC & Analytical Testing :-
Prepare samples and standards for HPLC analysis.
Perform assays of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, including impurity profiling.
Ensure method compliance, system suitability, and accurate documentation.
4. Documentation & Compliance :
Maintain laboratory notebooks, batch records, analytical reports, and Certificates of Analysis (CoA).
Record and report out-of-specification (OOS) results; assist QA in investigations.
5. Equipment Handling & Maintenance :
Operate, clean, calibrate, and maintain lab instruments such as HPLC, balances, melting point apparatus, moisture analyzers, pH meters, and titration setups.
Ensure instruments are validated and in good working condition.
6. Safety & Regulatory Compliance :
Follow laboratory safety protocols, PPE use, chemical handling, and waste disposal.
Ensure all activities comply with GMP and pharma audit standards.
7. Process & Quality Support :
Assist production in process optimization using analytical data.
Suggest improvements in testing methods, lab efficiency, and documentation practices.
Stay updated on analytical techniques and regulatory guidelines.
Optional / Advanced:-
Assist in method development or validation for new intermediates. Conduct impurity profiling and support stability studies as required.
Qualifications & Skills: -
Educational Qualification:
B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or equivalent. D. Pharma / B. Pharma may be considered for the Lab Technician role.
Experience:
Fresher or Experienced Candidates are welcome.
Key Skills: Hands-on experience or basic understanding of HPLC, UV-Vis, titrations, moisture and ash determination, pH, and alkalinity testing. Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and pharma audit documentation is a plus. Attention to detail, accuracy, and good record-keeping. Ability to learn quickly, troubleshoot, and work in a team
