Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Perform in-process and final inspection of

SG (Spheroidal Graphite) and CI (Cast Iron) castings

. Check dimensions using measuring instruments like

Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge

, etc. Conduct

visual inspection

to detect casting defects (blowholes, shrinkage, cracks, misruns, porosity, etc.). Verify and maintain

quality records, inspection reports, and test results

. Coordinate with production and molding team to ensure

process parameters

are followed. Identify non-conforming products and prepare

NCR reports

. Monitor

sand testing reports

, pattern conditions, and molding quality (if required). Ensure compliance with

ISO standards

during inspection. Follow safety rules and maintain housekeeping in the QC area.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Good knowledge of

SG/CI casting processes

. Strong understanding of

casting defects and their root causes

. Proficiency in mechanical measuring instruments. Good observation, analytical, and reporting skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced foundry environment.

Qualification:

Diploma / ITI or Any technical qualification relevant to foundry QC inspection.

Experience:

1-2 years of experience in

SG/CI casting inspection

(preferred).
