Role Summary

The QC In-Charge is responsible for ensuring dimensional accuracy, functional reliability, and process compliance of injection molds. The role combines

hands-on inspection

,

process control

, and

system building

to reduce rework, delays, and customer complaints.

1. Operational Roles

Inspect

core, cavity, inserts, electrodes, slides, lifters

at defined stages (pre-hardening & post-hardening). Verify components using

VMM, profile projector, height gauge, micrometer, bore gauge, surface tester

. Ensure

drawing compliance

, GD&T interpretation, and tolerance stack-up checks. Conduct

assembly inspection

before mold trial and sign-off. Monitor

mold trial results

, analyze defects (flash, mismatch, short, sink, burrs). Control

incoming inspection

of mold steels, bought-out items, and subcontracted processes. Maintain

inspection records, checklists, and deviation reports

.

2. Strategic / System Roles

Define and implement

QC checkpoints

across mold manufacturing stages. Develop

standard inspection formats

, master measurement plans, and SOPs. Drive

root cause analysis (RCA)

for rejections, rework, and trial failures. Coordinate with

design, manufacturing, and assembly teams

to prevent repeat issues. Support

customer audits

, mold FAT, and technical discussions. Track and improve

quality KPIs

: rework %, first-time-right molds, trial success rate.

3. Miscellaneous / Support Roles

Calibrate and maintain

measuring instruments

. Train machinists and fitters on

quality awareness & self-inspection

. Support

PPAP / ISIR / customer documentation

where applicable. Ensure adherence to

5S, safety, and shopfloor discipline

.

Key Skills & Experience

5-7 years experience in

injection mold QC / toolroom inspection

Strong understanding of

mold construction, plastics behavior, and GD&T

Hands-on with

CMM & precision instruments

Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality outcomes
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?45,000.00 - ?55,000.00 per month
