Key Responsibilities:
Perform
hull inspections
as per project and classification requirements.
Inspect
welding, fabrication, fitting, and structural works
on vessels.
Ensure compliance with
IMO, IACS, Class (IRS, DNV, ABS, LR)
standards.
Conduct
NDT tests
(VT, MT, PT; UT optional depending on requirement).
Prepare daily QC reports, NCRs, and documentation.
Coordinate with production, planning, and quality departments.
Monitor hull integrity, corrosion, alignment, and material quality.
Verify drawings, WPS, PQR, and welder qualification documents.
Ensure safety and quality compliance at the worksite.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum
6-8 years
experience in
Hull QC / Shipbuilding / Ship Repair
.
Diploma or Degree in
Mechanical / Marine / Naval Architecture
preferred.
Familiarity with shipyard processes and marine fabrication.
Certification in
NDT Level II
is an advantage.
Strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
