Quality Control Executive - Particle Board

QC Manager / Plant Head

Job Purpose

To ensure particle boards are manufactured as per required quality standards, specifications, and statutory norms through systematic inspection, testing, and process control.

Key Responsibilities1. Incoming Material Inspection

Check quality of wood particles, resin, wax, and additives Verify moisture content and particle size Ensure raw materials meet approved standards
2. In-Process Quality Control

Monitor mat formation, resin distribution, and layer consistency Check press parameters (temperature, pressure, press time) Ensure thickness and density control during production
3. Finished Product Inspection

Inspect boards for surface defects, edge cracks, blisters, and color variation Measure thickness, size, and density Ensure sanding quality and dimensional accuracy
4. Laboratory Testing

Conduct physical and mechanical tests: Internal Bond (IB) MOR & MOE Screw holding strength Thickness swelling & water absorption Maintain test records and reports
5. Standards & Compliance

Ensure compliance with

IS 3087 / customer specifications

Monitor formaldehyde emission norms (E0/E1/E2 if applicable)
6. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain QC registers, inspection reports, and batch records Report deviations and non-conformities to production team Support internal and external audits
7. Corrective & Preventive Actions

Identify quality issues and root causes Coordinate with production for corrective actions Assist in continuous quality improvement
Qualification

Diploma / B.Sc / B.Tech (Wood Technology / Mechanical / Production / relevant field) Experience in

particle board / plywood / MDF industry

Experience

1-5 years in QC role (freshers with relevant knowledge may apply)
Skills Required

Knowledge of particle board manufacturing process Understanding of IS standards and QC testing methods Basic lab testing skills Documentation & reporting Attention to detail

Pay: ?13,000.00 - ?22,000.00 per month
